Leaving Paris, Tennesee with frineds, Kenny, Troy and Jan, Sheila and I, was to tour the neighboring state of Arkansas for a few days. Departing from McDonalds with a send off of friends at 9:00. We traveled the back roads to cross the Mississippi River at Caruthersville, MO, traveling on Hwy 412. Staying our first night in Harrison. The next day we left Harrison on Hwy 62 to Eureka Springs. Riding the ridge of the mountains in the Ozark National Forest, it was a rainy day and not much time to be made. But the trees were of beautiful colors, even on a day like this. We stopped at the Honda store and stayed the night in Russellville. Not many miles today but we sure made some memories at Fallsville. Saturday, we hit Hwy 7 for a scenic drive to Hot Springs. WE toured a Bath house there. Leaving town we took Hwy 9, to Hwy 8, and staying somewhere on the road. I didn't know where. ?? Then to Hwy 62, crossing the river again, at Greenville, MS. WE hit the Trace going north to Tupelo, taking Hwy 45, Hwy 79, home.

Kenny knows his way around. We stopped for the girls to stroll the shops and ice cream around the streets of Hardy before stopping for the night in Harrison, Ark.

The Fall colors of God's handwork is awesome. This day was sprinkled with raindrops.

WE had to have coffee this morning. We needed a place to park but the town charged to park everywhere, unless you were a bank customer...dear wife...had to go in the bank to do a transaction, ha, now we're customers. The teller says, coffee is good right down the street, just leave your bikes here. Happy Halloween, October 31.

Traveling the mountain side from Eureka Spings would have been so enjoyable except we rode in rain all morning and had to make a pit stop in this little out of the way place, called FALLSVILLE. I will say, we will remember the day.

YES we have a bathroom, it's out there, in the little house, on the mountain side....an outhouse!!!

It is really "HOT" Springs!

Larry & Sheila, Troy & Jan in Hop Springs, Ark.
"Where do we go now?"
Leaving Tennessee, crossing the Mississippi river at Cauthersville, Missouri . We traveled a short way across the tip of Missouri on Hwy 412.

Leaving Arkansas, crossing the Mississippi River at Greenville.

Stopped by the Mississippi State line for a snap shot of the state sign.

We rode the
TRACE for a short distance to Tupelo MS on the way home.

As you see, I like to record our gas price for the trip.
COME ON and Follow me..............
